I'll be on edge until this whole thing is over. In order to start his speech therapy, he has to be able to pass a hearing screening. So I'm hoping that everything goes well tomorrow, so that we can make an appointment as soon at possible with the speech therapist. But, at least part of the waiting time has passed. Tomorrow is a big day!
This is a description of our journey as we help my son with his speech delay. If you have questions about our experiences with apraxia, feel free to leave a comment and I'll try to respond.

It's almost the day of Kevin's first appointment! Tomorrow at 8:45 we have an appointment with the audiologist. It's very nerve-wracking. I feel that there must be a fair chance that his hearing is defective, simply because it's a very common issue with toddlers who have speech delays. The good thing is that most hearing issues are fairly easy to correct. However, he does seem to hear everything that's said to him. I guess we'll find out tomorrow.
